Bio
Jennifer was born in northern Manitoba and grew up in rural Alberta,
just outside the city of Edmonton. Her family moved to the United States
in 1989 and has since lived in six different states. Central Kansas
was her home for four years where she attended Bethel College,
receiving a B.A. in art in 1996. Since then Jennifer taught art at the
secondary level for 9 years while continuing her own practice and
education in art. She received an MFA from the Maryland Institute College
of Art, and moved to Colorado in 2008, where she currently resides.
Her work has exhibited in many juried shows and settings,
from Colorado to Maryland, including the Columbus Museum of Art in Ohio.
From 2009 – 2012, Jennifer was a resident artist at Redline, a non-profit
contemporary gallery and studio space with emphasis on
community outreach. She is an Assistant Professor in the Fine Art and
Art Education Departments at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design.
